What is the meaning of the "SD" indication?

  • The plants we send are double division or more if possible, but when we have them in reduced quantities we send single division, but they are also mature plants, and with the same possibilities to bloom since the first year.

When will I receive my plants?

  • We follow the order of arrival, the orders that we receive during the winter and until the month of May, are the first to be sent in the spring as soon as the plants are ready, normally in June, thereafter we continue the orders arrived in June, once completed, orders are sent the following week after the reception, Monday or Tuesday.

Is the availability certain?

  • Our work is highly dependent on weather conditions. Availability and prices are based on our inventory at the end of summer, and normally is the same in spring, sometimes better, but this is not always the case, if a variety is no longer available we would refund you, or if you prefer a replacement, you can give us alternates in the "comments section" in step 5 when finishing the payment, so, if possible we will replace them.

Do you follow exactly the order of arrival?

  • Even though all plants are of the same species, each variety has its own performance characteristics, and depending on climatic conditions, it happens that sometimes we have to delay orders for a few days until all the ordered plants are ready.

The daylilies are they hardy in my area?

  • Daylilies we offer are hardy for all of Canada until zone 3 or even colder (2b), provided the summer is long enough for them to bloom, and the care they need.

How many roots will have the plants I will receive?

  • The plants to bloom need their whole root system, otherwise they have to remake them before blooming the right way, we prepare them trying to disturb them as less as possible, this in order to send them to you as complete as we can, but sometimes it is not possible.

Is it possible to make divitions when I receive them?

  • It is possible to do it for most of them, but we do not recommend it, because you will have to wait longer to see the flowers, and also to have a nice massive, if the roots are damaged, they will need time to redo them.

Are the prices the same all year round?

  • The price can be changed at any time, when you order, the indicated price is the right one.

I have a discount coupon; how can I use it?

  • After choosing your plants, click on « Shopping Cart » icon, after on « View Cart », and « Use Coupon Code », write the number, and « Apply Coupon ».

Why some pictures of flowers that I ordered are not longer on your site?

  • We have a number of plants to offer for each variety, once completed we remove it, but it could appear after verification or the following year.

If I order in June, will I have my plants right away?

  • Depending on the number of orders still to ship, it could take two or three weeks, when we complete our shipments of winter orders we continue with those of May and June, thereafter all orders will be sent at the beginning of the following week, however, with some exceptions the plants could still bloom since the first year.

What is the reason of the waiting time for shipping orders? 

  • All the plants that we ship, are cultivated by ourselves, but they are in the ground, we have to take them out one at a time, wash them, shorten the leaves, and prepare them in boxes and then ship them, we grow about 1000 varieties, all alike before flowering, so we have to concentrate in order to avoid mistakes.

Why isn't the flowering time of each variety more accurately indicated?

  • The start of flowering of each variety depends on the hardiness zone you are, for example: if the same variety is planted in zone 6 and in zone 4, that of zone 6 will grow and bloom three or four weeks before the one in zone 4, and even later in zone 3.

Why are you saying that some varieties could bloom all summer without precision?

  • A large number of varieties that we cultivate, we are the only one to offer them and we see their performance in our gardens, but we cannot affirm that it will be the same everywhere as with us, one day there will be known in all regions, at this time, it could be possible to affirm it, but for the moment it remains to be discovered.

When the plants arrive do I have to be present?

  • Our product "plants" is perishable, and for this reason we send the orders by the regular way by the postal service you choose, this in order to avoid delays, if you need or feel necessary to receive them in your hand with your signature, please contact us by email.

Why is your warranty so limited?

  • Plants are a living product, we make sure to send healthy plants, and cultivated outdoors under open sky, along with instructions for proper planting. The right follow-up and proper care depend on you, and the success is yours.

When I place an order, is the payment secure?

  • Yes, you pay directly to the bank, and we only receive a payment advice with the order number, which allows us to follow up, and then we prepare the identification labels and the documentation, so everything stays prepared, just waiting for the plants to be ready in order to send them to you.

Do you accept orders during the summer?

  • We accept orders all summer until the first week of September, some years before, and we ship them the following week upon receipt.
